Todd Baldino Scholarship

Dear Friends,

In 2008, the Timberbirch Broadmoor Athletic Association (T.B.A.A.) lost one of our own with the sudden passing of Todd Baldino. Todd came through our organization as a player and then returned as a young man to contribute to our club. In his memory a scholarship program was established for our club to assist some deserving T.B.A.A. players with their college education.

Beginning in 2009 and each succeeding year, TBAA has awarded two scholarships – one each to a boy’s travel soccer player and a girls travel soccer player. Starting in 2012, we have held an annual Golf Outing to help increase the overall number and dollar amount of scholarships awarded.

TODD BALDINO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION FORM Select the button below to print out the application Eligibility: TBAA will award at lease two scholarships each year, to a girls travel soccer player and to a boys travel soccer player. The program is open to current or former players: (a) who have played travel soccer for a TBAA team for at least three (3) years; (b) who will graduate high school in 2024; and (c) who will be attending college or otherwise continuing their adult education. Selection Criteria: Candidates must submit the application form which may be obtained from the TBAA website (www.tbaa.net) no later than July 15th, 2025. The recipients will be chosen by TBAA’s Trustees. The scholarships will be awarded based upon academic achievement, participation in school and other activities, community service and demonstrated leadership. Applicants will not be selected because of soccer ability. Scholarships: The scholarships will be not less than $500.00. The recipients must provide the TBAA Executive Board with proof of registration. The recipients will be honored at TBAA’s annual coaches’ meeting. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: (1) Please prepare and attach to this application a short essay (no more than four double spaced pages) describing the impact that your participation in soccer has had on your life. (2) Please attach to this application two letters of recommendation from a teacher, coach or other member of your community.
