T.B.A.A. IS PROUD TO SPONSOR THE:

Todd Baldino Memorial Scholarship

In 2008, T.B.A.A. lost one of our own with the sudden passing of Todd Baldino.  Todd came through our organization as a player and then returned as a young man to contribute to our club.  Many of us remember Todd in his cook’s gear as he worked over the grill at our Pre-season Tournaments.  Todd’s father, Joe, is a long-time T.B.A.A. coach and Executive Board member and has served for years on the Black Horse Pike Regional School Board.  Considering Joe’s involvement in education, we felt that it would be a great idea for our club to assist some deserving T.B.A.A. players with their college education.

Beginning in 2009 and each succeeding year, TBAA will award two scholarships - one each to a boys travel soccer player and a girls travel soccer player. The scholarships are open to all current or former players: (a) who have played travel soccer for a TBAA team for at least three years; (b) who will graduate high school in 2010; and (c) who will be attending college or otherwise continuing their adult education. The scholarships will each be in the amount of $500.00.

The application deadline is June 15, 2010 and all applications should be returned to Richard Barkasy at 16 Autumn Court, Blackwood NJ 08012 . The scholarship recipients will be selected by the TBAA Trustees.

2009 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

T.B.A.A. would like to congratulate Ryan Donahue and Lindsey Mikos who were chosen as the first recipients of the TODD BALDINO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP.  Ryan and Lindsey are both graduates of Triton High School and have just started pursuing their college education.  The scholarships were awarded in a ceremony which was held on Friday, August 28, 2009 during the annual T.B.A.A. Pre-season Soccer Tournament.  We are very proud to have had individuals such as Ryan and Lindsey come through our organization as they present a great example to our current players.  We wish Ryan and Lindsey the best of luck in their college careers.
